Population: The global population of European Rolle is estimated to be between 188 thousand and 395 thousand mature individuals (or 282 thousand to 593 thousand individuals intotal). In Kazakhstan, it is mostly a common species but, in some places, a rare breeding migratory bird.
Status: Non-endangered species of economic value other than hunting.
Habitat: Rolles breed in the Urals, in Naurzum district of, along the Irtysh river, as well as throughout southern Kazakhstan. It occupies floodplain forests, pine islands in the steppe, and the valley of the Ile River; It is widely observed during migration periods.
