Population: There is no exact data on the number, it is common in suitable habitats.  

Status. No status

Habitat.  In Kazakhstan, the big-eared pikas live in the Terskei Alatau (Central Tien Shan). The animals are found at altitudes of 2300-3000 m above sea level, preferring gorges with sparse vegetation. The main habitats include ruined rocky slopes and areas with large stones that create conditions for shelter.
